API for ITIL Service Desk Systems
Širůček, Pavel ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
Main focus of this thesis is creating workaround for ITIL processes in service desk systems. As a objective with highest priority was to choose service desk systems, then create interface which can make possible communication between service boards and selected processes. I described also in generally meaning ITIL library, common service desk functions and important ITIL processes. Management of incidents, problems, changes and configurations is based on a set of processes, which are able to manipulate with interface. Web services are main tool of implemented API for working with these processes. In conclusion are also presented several scenarios to demonstrate communication between clients and service across the board created interface.
Configuration management
Vala, Martin ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to resolve the problems based on requirements of the company. Initially a theoretical part was prepared which is focused on configuration management and related terms of a particular problem. After theoretical introduction it was systematically approached to the problem and a possible solution was proposed based on analysis of the current situation taking into account configuration management. The solution was to create a technical-organizational guideline which is a tool for the elimination of errors of employees and for general overview. The final technical-organizational guideline can be found in the attachment and in the main part of this thesis describes development of the guideline.
Continuous Integration and Delivery by Nix/NixOps in Software Development
Vlk, Tomáš ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the application of the functional packaging system Nix and its ecosystem (NixOS, NixOps) for CI/CD in agile development. When using these technologies, the problems caused by different environments are virtually eliminated without the need of containerization. The thesis contains a description of the possibilities and the shortcomings of Nix/NixOps and it proposes a general procedure for the use of these technologies in individual phases of agile development and CI/CD. Thanks to Nix/NixOps, the implementation of CI/CD is very simple and the whole process is also reproducible. The output of the work is a set of the examples demonstrating the use of Nix/NixOps in various projects, which is available as open-source. Thanks to this set, the developers can use Nix quickly and easily in any project, without having to study a large amount of materials.

Redesign configuration management of process in a chosen Organization
Šavel, Jan ; Zelená, Veronika (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze Configuration management process in a chosen organization through ITIL Best Practices Library and provide a redesign based on collected materials. Analyzes cover Configuration management and partially Change management processes whose are tightly connected with each other. In theoretical part I focus on general description of analyzed process, its modeling and modeling tools. Next chapters follow up with ITIL Best Practices Library version 3 and CMS (Configuration Management System) usability as a federated system for Configuration management process. In practical part I focus on current state of Configuration management process in analyzed organization and provide advantages and disadvantages. Those are input for redesign of Configuration management process. In the end of my thesis I compare the original and current redesigned solution and provide a set of advantages and disadvantages coming from this change.

Configuration Management in organization which provides IT services
Lapotka, Dzianis ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šebesta, Michal (referee)
This thesis deals with Configuration Management, one of the most important process from ITIL framework. The main purpose of the thesis is not only to describe Configuration Management, but also to identify ITIL and its importance within IT service management. Those goals are reached in the first part of the thesis. The second part contains analysis of Configuration Management process in organization which aims to provide IT services. After the analysis the main components of the process are compared to ITIL best practices. The purpose of the analysis is to provide an example of how can Configuration Management be run in a large organization and also to identify possible weaknesses within the process. In order to eliminate these weaknesses in the second part of the thesis author propose ways to optimize Configuration Management process.
Enhancements of ServiceNow Discovery in application dependency mapping and application configuration
Toman, František ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Nosek, Josef (referee)
The main focus of this paper is to improve the ServiceNow Discovery tool in two areas. The first one is the Application Dependency Mapping (ADM). ServiceNow is currently not able to determine the type of the relationship between two applications. As a solution, a new application was designed and implemented. It enables human element to define the type of relationship before it is found by the Discovery. This application also makes it posiible to define rules, which affect the behaviour of ADM. Second area, taken into account in this paper, is the discovery of application configuration. Weaknesses of Discovery are identified and solution is implemented.

Dočekal, Michal ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to describe a compare selected open source tools for mass linux server administration. In the first part, the tools are described, including their principles and internal architecture. The next part follows with the comparison of these selected tools using several groups of comparison criteria. The main contribution of this thesis is the actual comparison of software tools of this type. The method chosen to fulfill the goal of this thesis is literature search and custom practical testing of these tools.
